NECK PAIN TAKEAWAY

Hello! If you actually had a look at what time I’ve posted this you’re probably wondering why the hell am I still awake at 2.30am blogging junk food on a weekday? Well… *story time*

The truth is I’m still up because I literally can’t sleep thanks to a horrible neck pain. This morning I woke up at 7am as usual, had a TREK bar, got my workout clothes on and went down to the gym. Everything was going great until after about 20min of doing my daily workout routine, I was doing sit ups when: “snap” a horrible sharp pain went through my column to my neck and left me paralized on the matt. I literally thought I broke my neck, the pain was (and is) horrific! I managed to very carefully pick up my things and go back to my studio and call my parents as I was pretty much unable to move and my neck hurted so freaking much. After talking to my parents and following their advice, I realized how stress has been piling up lately and I’ve been so tense that that’s probably what caused this. So I’ve been here, in my bed, all day long…

I couldn’t go to Uni and I couldn’t do all of the things I had to do outside including my weekly food haul…

So I thought as I didn’t have any food in my cupboard and even lifting a hand makes me ache, I got a takeaway! If you know me you know how much I love my healthy meals and if you know me really really well you probably know that I’ve never ordered a takeaway by myself. Yep, Alien here, I know.

The truth is, I love to make my own meals and eating out or getting a takeaway is something I’d call a “treat” and I always do it with someone else. But today, there was no choice.

So I headed to Deliveroo and opted to order Gourmet Burguer Kitchen. I figured out it would be a super easy order as they actually have a 100% vegan burger in their menu and I didn’t even have to worry on asking for special things. So I got the “Dippy Hippy” burger which consists of a  pan-fried bean patty, beetroot & mint hummus, avocado, piquillo pepper, salad, relish and sourdough bun and I also ordered Skin-On fries as a side. As I’ve had this burger before and I looooved it, I opted to take out the mint hummus as in my opinion it doesn’t go very well with the burger.

And I mean, what else can I say? you know the rest…

One thing came to the other and me and my burger made out. Sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right? 😉

If you’re vegan, vegetarian or a meat-eater I strongly encourage you to try this burger, it’s seriously amazing!

Morning! Bonjour! Buenos Días! 🙂 It’s nearly the weekend and I’m so ready for a day off Uni and work. Ever since I moved to London my diet has been changing slightly from RawTill4 to HCLF. If you don’t know about either of these terms, look it up on Google or ask in the comments below 🙂

The truth is, by not having access to cheap local organic produce and being always rushing and on the go made me adapt myself to a more flexible diet. Buenos días! Bonjour! Good Morning! 🙂 Ya casi es el fin de semana y estoy más que lista para tener un día sin trabajo y sin Uni. Desde que me mudé a Londres mi dieta ha pasado a ser de RawTill4 a HCLF. Si no conoces alguno de estos términos, míralo en Google o pregunta en los comentarios 🙂

VALENTINES DAY 4.0

Happy Valentines Day!

Either you have or not a date to celebrate this day, LOVE should be demonstrated every single day (in my opinion). Ben came to see me for a long weekend and stayed til today. Remembering our past Valentines experiences featuring me forgetting Ben’s rose at the London Eye or having to spend it over the distance when I was in Tenerife… today was the day, our 4th Valentines celebration was going to be right! So we headed to “Vegan Hippo” for brunch, where you can choose a super cute little animal toy to redeem your order… (we chose the monkey)

Happy Friday guys!! I hope going back to work/school/life has been great! My week has been so intense but happy! Came back to London, my friend Celia visited me for a few days and reuniting with my friends from Uni and starting the new term was fun!! This morning I finally slept a lot and recovered from my lack of sleep! As I’m all about starting this year as healthy as ever, I’m going to share what I had today for lunch (too lazy in the morning to take photos of it…). This recipe can be done for breakfast, lunch or even a healthy dessert! Let’s get started, shall we? 🙂

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 frozen bananas
  • a splash of organic oat milk
  • 1 tsp organic cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp PBFit (powdered peanut butter, which is super low fat) get it HERE
  • fresh blueberries
  • fresh strawberries
  • about 1/2 cup of organic muesli (I use JORDANS Natural Muesli)

For this recipe you will need a blender or food processor. Blend your bananas with your dash of milk, cocoa powder and PBFit until your get a creamy thick consistency (mine lookes more like a smoothie as I took ages to take the photos, but normally if you blend your bananas just after taking them from the freezer, they should blend in an ice cream like consistency 🙂 ). Now top with your berries and muesli and get ready to enjoy!

Feliz Viernes chic@s!! Espero que volver a la uni/escuela/trabajo/vida les haya sido leve! Mi semana ha sido muy intensa pero feliz! De vuelta en Londres, mi amiga Celia me visitó por unos días y reunirme de vuelta con mis amigos de la Uni y comenzar el nuevo trimestre ha sido divertido!! Esta mañana he podido dormir un montón finalmente y ya me he recuperado de mi falta de sueño! Como estoy super motivada de empezar este año de la manera más sana, voy a compartir con ustedes lo que comí de almuerzo (estaba demasiado vaga por la mañana para sacar fotos de ello…). Esta receta puede hacerse para desayunar, almorzar o incluso si te apetece un postre sano! Empecemos 🙂

INGREDIENTES:

  • 4 plátanos congelados
  • un chorrito de leche de avena
  • 1 cucharadita de cacao orgánico en polvo
  • 1 cucharadita de PBFit (mantequilla de cacahuete en polvo, que es super baja en grasa) consíguela AQUÍ
  • arándanos frescos
  • fresas frescas
  • alrededor de 1/2 taza de muesli orgánico (Yo uso JORDANS Natural Muesli)

Para esta receta necesitaréis una batidora o procesadora. Mezcla tus plátanos con el chorrito de leche, cacao y PBFit hasta que consigas una consistencia cremosa (la mía se parece más a un smoothie porque me llevó años sacar las fotos, pero normalmente si bates tus plátanos justo después de sacarlos del congelador, te van a quedar como una especie de helado/gelato 🙂 ). Ahora decora tu helado con los arándanos, fresas y muesli y prepárate para disfrutar!

SMOOTHIE BOWL RECIPE

Hey guys! Happy start of the week! 😀 After a weekend full of sitting in the couch watching Gossip Girl with my mom and eating all sorts of festive delicacies, I’m back in the routine! And by routine I mean: clean eating and working out. I think it’s important to treat yourself to cookies and TV sometimes but taking care of myself is also a great treat! So today I wanted to share with you one of my current favorite smoothie bowls. I love these for breakfast or lunch.
Simply blend:
– 3 bananas
– 1 + 1/2 TBSP organic cocoa powder
– 1 cup mixed frozen berries
– 1 cup frozen blackberries
– 1/3 oats
– 1/2 oat milk (or any other plant based milk)

Then top with some gluten free organic chocho balls and chia seeds and enjoy!

Hola chic@s! Feliz comienzo de la semana! 😀 Después de un finde lleno de sentarme en el sofá viendo Gossip Girl con mi madre y comiendo todo tipo de delicias festivas, he vuelto a la rutina! Y por rutina me refiero a: comer sano y entrenar. Creo que es importante mimarte de vez en cuando a galletas y TV pero cuidar de mi salud también es un gran mimo! Así que hoy quería compartir contigo uno de mis smoothie bowls favoritos de momento. Me encanta tomarlos de desayuno o almuerzo. Simplemente bate en una licuadora:

-3 plátanos

– 1 + 1/2 TBSP cacao orgánico en polvo
– 1 cup frutos del bosque congelados
– 1 cup moras congeladas
– 1/3 avena
– 1/2 leche de avena (o cualquier otra leche vegetal que te guste)

Luego decora tu smoothie bowl con cereales choco-balls orgánicos sin gluten y semillas de chia y disfruta!
