Hello! If you actually had a look at what time I’ve posted this you’re probably wondering why the hell am I still awake at 2.30am blogging junk food on a weekday? Well… *story time*
The truth is I’m still up because I literally can’t sleep thanks to a horrible neck pain. This morning I woke up at 7am as usual, had a TREK bar, got my workout clothes on and went down to the gym. Everything was going great until after about 20min of doing my daily workout routine, I was doing sit ups when: “snap” a horrible sharp pain went through my column to my neck and left me paralized on the matt. I literally thought I broke my neck, the pain was (and is) horrific! I managed to very carefully pick up my things and go back to my studio and call my parents as I was pretty much unable to move and my neck hurted so freaking much. After talking to my parents and following their advice, I realized how stress has been piling up lately and I’ve been so tense that that’s probably what caused this. So I’ve been here, in my bed, all day long…
I couldn’t go to Uni and I couldn’t do all of the things I had to do outside including my weekly food haul…
So I thought as I didn’t have any food in my cupboard and even lifting a hand makes me ache, I got a takeaway! If you know me you know how much I love my healthy meals and if you know me really really well you probably know that I’ve never ordered a takeaway by myself. Yep, Alien here, I know.
The truth is, I love to make my own meals and eating out or getting a takeaway is something I’d call a “treat” and I always do it with someone else. But today, there was no choice.
So I headed to Deliveroo and opted to order Gourmet Burguer Kitchen. I figured out it would be a super easy order as they actually have a 100% vegan burger in their menu and I didn’t even have to worry on asking for special things. So I got the “Dippy Hippy” burger which consists of a pan-fried bean patty, beetroot & mint hummus, avocado, piquillo pepper, salad, relish and sourdough bun and I also ordered Skin-On fries as a side. As I’ve had this burger before and I looooved it, I opted to take out the mint hummus as in my opinion it doesn’t go very well with the burger.
And I mean, what else can I say? you know the rest…
One thing came to the other and me and my burger made out. Sometimes you gotta treat yourself, right? 😉
If you’re vegan, vegetarian or a meat-eater I strongly encourage you to try this burger, it’s seriously amazing!
