Hey guys! Long time no see! Back at Uni, changed job and working on Peaches, life has been crazy lately! But I can’t complain… I love it!

Last week the guys from Bumble Zest were kind enough to send me some healthy shots to try (with the amount of work and lack of sleep I’ve been having lately, this is perfect right now).

So I received this beautifully wrapped box with two of their Calm & Comfort and Propel & Protect bottles. Both of them vegan of course! This drinks can be taken as shots or diluted in water, I personally rather to drink them with water as it tastes a bit like a sports drink I used to love when I was little called “Gatorade” but way more natural a healthier for you! 🙂

My favourite? I can’t decide (although I have a bit of a love thing with the Chamomile, Lavender and Spirulina shots :P) . I love the fact that the ingredients are not many and I actually know what each of them are. I’d definitely give this a go if you are looking for a health boost, trying to include more nutrients into your  diet or if you simply love a sweet drink that is good for you!

Have a great week!

See you soon xx

Happy Monday!! I hope you’re enjoying the good weather (not today tho), I definately am!

Today I’m bringing you a new delicious, yet healthy recipe 🙂 As you may know, I’m always on the run and I often find myself getting an energy bar between breaks. Don’t get me wrong, there are loads of vegan natural bar brands that I adore but also some of this brands can be a little bit expensive and some of them are packed with oil, salt and preservatives… I thought, why not make my own energy bars? If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably know about my “energy balls recipe” and how much I love them, but this time, I wanted to try something different.

I came up with a super low fat Flapjack Energy Bar recipe and guys: I’m in love. I already ate like half of them since I made this recipe (about 3 days ago).

For this deliciousness you will need:

– 1 1/2 CUP of organic oats

  • 1 TBSP goji berries
  • 1 TBSP organic cocoa powder
  • 200gr organic medjool dates (about 12 dates)
  • 1 TBSP chia seeds (I get mine from GRAZE –> click here to buy)
  • 3 TBSP soy milk or oat milk (I only had soy in the fridge so that’s what I used)

On a bowl add your TBSP of chia seeds and 3 TBSP of water, mix well and leave a side for about 5 min. The water will make the chia grow and for a thick gooey paste, we will use this as our “egg” to make sure everything sticks together. Did you know Chia Seeds are super rich in Omega? 🙂

Next, dip your medjool dates and goji berries in a cup with warm water and leave them for a bit so they hydrate and are easier to blend. After a few minutes, rinse your dates and goji berries and blend on a food processor with 3TBSP of soy milk, until you get a creamy thick paste like this one:

Now it’s time to make the magic mix! On a big bowl add your oats, cocoa powder, your chia egg and the creamy date/goji paste . Mix well until you achieve a “flapjack dough consistency”.

On a rectangular container (make sure you can put it in the freezer) you will put some parchment paper and add your mixture. Then you will spread it until it’s all compact and uniform. I recommend you leave about 1,5cm of thickeness. Freeze overnight.

The day after you will wake up to a bach of about 12 flapjacks. You just need to cut them into nice looking bars!

What I like to do is wrap them in individual packages so I can take them with me on the go or give them as a gift so someone 🙂 For the packages I used parchment paper and some hemp cord (which you can re-use afterwards if it doesn’t get messy).

I hope you give this recipe a try and please let me know in the comments below if you have any questions, or just to say if you liked it! See you soon in another post!

Have an awesome week! 🙂

Heya!! Happy Monday! Today I finally had some quality time with Ben and we both decided to go and check out this new pop-up ice cream shop in Shoreditch: NANABAR. I found this place on Instagram about 2 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier that finally someone decided to open a nice cream shop in London! Just on time for this super hot weather. If you are not vegan, you might haven’t heard about the term: “NICECREAM” well, it basically stands for ice cream but without the cruelty that dairy brings, that’s where the word “nice” comes from… and I guess it’s a way of calling a vegan ice cream differently, especially when it’s made of frozen bananas, like these guys you’ve just seen in the pictures. We actually had lunch there and I couldn’t even finish my serving! They have a flavour each day of the week and today we were lucky to try the “Strawberry Shortcake” one, with an extra shot of peanut butter 😛 (really recommend adding the PB) I could go on and on on the benefits and coolness of these kind of ice creams and this place, but I really think you should try it for yourself 🙂 (FUN FACT: this was the first nice cream I had in my life that I didn’t make myself!, crazy right?)

Ben and I can’t wait to be back! Oh! and hurry, because their pop up store will be open just for 3 months!

Check out their Instagram: HERE

Have a great week! 🙂

Good Afternoon guys!! boy… it’s been a few hectic months! Trying to get a degree whilst working part-time ain’t easy at all. Last month I finally finished my 1st year of Uni, turned 21 years old, celebrated like crazy and went travelling for 3 weeks. Yes, a lot of things for just a month, right? The truth is, I enjoyed every single minute of my beloved June this year… I don’t want to rant too much about my travels as I’m planning on posting exclusively about them in other posts 😉

So now that I’m back in London and free from Uni you might be wondering what the hell am I doing here and not back home in Tenerife? The answer is: I’m working on loads of things! Exciting projects and collabs coming! 😀

When I arrived from the airport the other day I got home and had no food in my kitchen but some muesli, jam and some new J.F Rabbit bottles waiting for me in the fridge 😛 The J.F Rabbit team were so lovely to send them to me a few weeks ago and of course, I had no time to try them, until now! 🙂

If you saw my earlier post about them on my blog, you’ll probably know how much I loved the idea of VEG infused waters. They now rebranded their packaging and drinks and sent me their new collection for me to re-review, if that makes sense? 🙂

The first thing that surprised me was that there was no Beetroot Water anymore! and they swapped it for this Carrot Water with Orange Blossom 😛 Another thing that they’ve improved is that now all of their waters contain your daily dose of Vitamin C and Zinc! so if you are worried that you aren’t getting enough of it or want to get some more benefits from your amazing drinking habit, one bottle will be good for the day!

So, my personal review tasting wise would be pretty similar to the one before but with a few changes.

The cucumber water tastes literally like if the bottle had cucumber slices inside. So fresh, and no celery after taste!

The ginger water tastes pretty much the same as the one before and I have to say: it’s my favourite!

The carrot water is in my opinion much nicer in taste than the beetroot water and rather than drink it straight, I’d like to try it on soups!

As I said in my previous review about this brand, I think this would be the perfect idea for those of you who find it hard to drink water because you might not like the taste of plain water or you just can’t catch the habit, maybe you find one of these you really love and you can stay hydrated at all times? 🙂

Thank you to J.F. Rabbit for sending these to me, I’m so happy I get to share these amazing finds through here and can hopefully inspire you to achieve a healthier lifestyle 🙂

See you in another post!

Morning! Bonjour! Buenos Días! 🙂 It’s nearly the weekend and I’m so ready for a day off Uni and work. Ever since I moved to London my diet has been changing slightly from RawTill4 to HCLF. If you don’t know about either of these terms, look it up on Google or ask in the comments below 🙂

The truth is, by not having access to cheap local organic produce and being always rushing and on the go made me adapt myself to a more flexible diet. Back in the Sixth Form days about 2 years ago, I used to get my Graze box delivered each week with 4 yummy snacks to have with me on the go. Since I’ve been vegan I kind of thought they wouldn’t have many vegan options and didn’t think of ordering with them anymore. Until now! I found out you can now select your dietary requirements and choose which type of box you’d like. So Ben and I decided to give it a go and I went for the variety box and Ben for the chocolate box, both made vegan of course.

They just got delivered! And I enjoyed my first snack this afternoon with a cup of green tea. I think this is a great idea if you are always travelling and don’t always have time to stop by a supermarket or your house every time you get hungry. You can choose how many times you want your box delivered (we chose once a week) and your can cancel or snooze your subscription anytime 🙂

So if you would like to give it a go, I have something for you! You can get your 1st,5th and 10th boxes for FREE using the code: NURIAM63B

And if after your 1st box you don’t want to order more, you can cancel it with no problem 🙂 If you have any questions, please let me know in the comments down below!

See ya in another post!

Buenos días! Bonjour! Good Morning!

Happy Friday guys!! I hope going back to work/school/life has been great! My week has been so intense but happy! Came back to London, my friend Celia visited me for a few days and reuniting with my friends from Uni and starting the new term was fun!! This morning I finally slept a lot and recovered from my lack of sleep! As I’m all about starting this year as healthy as ever, I’m going to share what I had today for lunch (too lazy in the morning to take photos of it…). This recipe can be done for breakfast, lunch or even a healthy dessert! Let’s get started, shall we? 🙂

  • 4 frozen bananas
  • a splash of organic oat milk
  • 1 tsp organic cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp PBFit (powdered peanut butter, which is super low fat) get it HERE
  • fresh blueberries
  • fresh strawberries
  • about 1/2 cup of organic muesli (I use JORDANS Natural Muesli)

For this recipe you will need a blender or food processor. Blend your bananas with your dash of milk, cocoa powder and PBFit until your get a creamy thick consistency (mine lookes more like a smoothie as I took ages to take the photos, but normally if you blend your bananas just after taking them from the freezer, they should blend in an ice cream like consistency 🙂 ). Now top with your berries and muesli and get ready to enjoy!

Have an awesome weekend and see you in another post 🙂

Feliz Viernes chic@s!!

Hey guys! Happy start of the week! 😀 After a weekend full of sitting in the couch watching Gossip Girl with my mom and eating all sorts of festive delicacies, I’m back in the routine! And by routine I mean: clean eating and working out. I think it’s important to treat yourself to cookies and TV sometimes but taking care of myself is also a great treat! So today I wanted to share with you one of my current favorite smoothie bowls. I love these for breakfast or lunch.
Simply blend:
– 3 bananas
– 1 + 1/2 TBSP organic cocoa powder
– 1 cup mixed frozen berries
– 1 cup frozen blackberries
– 1/3 oats
– 1/2 oat milk (or any other plant based milk)

Then top with some gluten free organic chocho balls and chia seeds and enjoy!

Have a great week!

Hola chic@s!

Hello! Oh boy… What a beautiful day!

We went to the north of the island today with Ben and my parents. We had some shopping to do and also we found out that there was a new Vegan Bakery/Cafe in the centre of St. Cruz (Tenerife).

This cafe was seriously the cutest. I loved the minimalistic yet creative atmosphere and their cakes were amazing. We tried the “figs + chocolate cake”, “carrot cake” and “coconut, lemon and blueberry cheesecake” with some lattes and Ben had a banana+peanut butter smoothie with it. Everything was delicious. I haven’t drank coffee in like a year or so… and today I just felt like I wanted to have some with my carrot cake 🙂 It was delicious! Will definitely be back next time we go to the north!

Later on we headed back to the south to surprise Ben with a another new vegan place which I’ll share with you in my next post tomorrow…

I hope you like the photos!

Hola!

Hey guys! Today I wanted to share a super easy and delicious recipe with you!
I’m talking about “BLISS BALLS” If you ever tried “alfajores con dulce de leche”, this will taste pretty much the same to you, with the difference that is super healthy and made with fresh wholesome ingredients! 😀
So let’s get started, shall we?

22/25 deglet noir dates (you can use other variety, but these are the ones I used)
1 cup of organic oats
about 1/2 cup shredded coconut
2 tsp organic cocoa powder

Wash your dates and make sure you take the seed out if they aren’t pitted yet.
Put all the dates and the oats on a blender/food processor (I recommend a food processor) and blend until you get a thick paste. You can leave it chunky or you can make it as smooth as you want. (You could add a little splash of water or plant milk, but not too much of it so make it a bit smoother) Today I went with “chunky” 🙂
Once you’ve got your paste, scoop it out and roll them with your wet hands creating little balls.
And now it’s time for the decoration part! (my favourite 😛 )
Get 2 small bowls (like cereal bowls or even mugs) and place half of the shredded coconut on one of them and the other half on the other bowl with the cocoa powder.
To be honest you can get as creative as you want to and play around with so many toppings/ingredients to get different shapes, colors or patterns…
Now place your balls (one by one) and let them roll in the bowl whilst they coat themselves!
Once you’ve got your babies ready, place them in a flat container or a dish and freeze them overnight. And that’s it! Your bliss balls will be ready tomorrow!

PRO TIP: when you roll the balls with your hands, get them a bit wet so the balls stick better to the coconut 😉

These are great to have as a snack to go, to have with some coffee with friends, to top your smoothie bowls with it, as a little gift to someone… whatever! 😀 I hope you like it as much as I do!
Please let me know in the comments if you try this out, how did it go? Did you try to make it with something else? Which other recipes would you like to see? 🙂
Until the next post!

CONSERVATION: Keep them in the fridge inside a jar or a container and they will preserve for a week or so… 🙂

Hola chic@s!

I think today might have been my first early dinner in months… and I mean “early” by 8pm. I would always come from work or training so late I wouldn’t start eating until after 11pm :/

Ben (my boyfriend) and I planned on skypeing tonight so I thought I would have a Skype Date Night and would eat whilst listening to him on the screen (that makes me feel like we live together, it’s nice).

I wasn’t feeling creative at all so I grabbed some leftover pasta from last night and warmed it up with some homemade tomato sauce (also leftover ahaha) and sprinkled some nutritional yeast and homemade vegan parmesan “cheese” on top 😛 Let me know in the comments if you want a recipe for that 🙂

The thing was… I was hungry a couple of hours later… so I also had some tofu and salad with my parents after my Skype sesh… So again, late dinner for Nuria! Ahahaha 😛 I guess this is just until I make the habit of eating early again…
